We have created a small promotion video for Saint Stephen's Basilica in Budapest, which is the largest cathedral of the capital of Hungary. This video shows several of our features like navigation using map, popup images and slideshows of content-rich virtual tours.

Castle museum in Dunaföldvár - Blood-painted chambers

Our first monument to describe is a small castle museum located in central Hungary, only 90kms from Budapest, the capital. The city of Dunaföldvár is located very close to river Danube which indicates that it belonged to the Limes, border of the Roman Empire. However, there is not much left from the ages of romans, only a few fragmented stones are to be seen in the museum.

The castle was erected at the beginning of the 15th century and served as a Turkish fortress for centuries. Later it was converted to a prison to keep Hungarian rebels, kuruc people. Some cells below the ground level preserve dark secerets, it is said that their walls were painted with human blood, blood of the victims. There are several primitive figures to be seen: a cannon, female figure, horsemen and an execution.
